How do I clean my Ultraderp leash?

Hand washing with cold water and mild detergent is recommended. You can also put it in the washing machine using cold water with like colors. Either way we recommend air drying so the clip doesn't bang around your dryer. 

 

How strong is Ultraderp?

Ultraderp leashes are tensile strength tested to 300 lbs. This meets stringent retail standards for dogs up to 60 lbs. We've tested with dogs up to 85 lbs with no issues. Ultraderp is not designed to be a training leash for dogs over 60 lbs. Please discontinue use immediately if your leash becomes damaged.

 

Do I have to put my Ultraderp leash back in the storage bag?

Nope, you do you. We really only put it back before/after an activity when the small, packed, form factor is beneficial. 

 

How do I put my Ultraderp leash back in the storage bag?

You can stuff it, fold it, or roll it. Just make sure that you start with the side of the leash that attaches to the storage bag. This ensures that the handle end of the leash it ready to pull the next time you need it. 

 

What about Ultraderp is great for runners?

We're glad you asked. Since the leash weighs almost nothing, you can run without affecting your stride and posture. If you prefer to run off-leash, you can clip the stowed leash to your dog's collar or harness and then deploy it whenever you need, like trailheads or parking lots. You can also easily keep it tucked away in a pocket or backpack. Most running leashes wrap around your waist which can be uncomfortable and present a trip hazard if your dog doesn't stay in the same position relative to you. Since Ultraderp, when deployed, acts like a normal leash, it gives you much more dexterity handling your dog relative to other running-specific leashes.

 

I'm not a runner. Why should I use Ultraderp?

Light leashes don't just benefit runners. They're great for anyone looking to keep tabs on their dog without a bulky leash. We've gotten feedback that Ultraderp is great for dog parks, restaurants, the office, and even for keeping track of a new puppy around small children.
